Francisco J. Ayala is a Professor of Biological Sciences and Philosophy at the University of California, Irvine. He is world renowned for his research on population and evolutionary genetics, for which he has received numerous accolades including the National Medal of Science. He also writes and speaks about the interface between religion and science, and was awarded the Templeton Prize for exceptional contributions to affirming life’s spiritual dimension.
